Day 24: Got Zeal? Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.  Isaiah 9:7 Zeal—it’s a word we don’t hear much these days. It means “great energy or enthusiasm in pursuit of a cause or an objective.” God approached that first Advent with enthusiasm and excitement. He wasn’t apathetic or annoyed. He was eager! Redemption was being sent to his creation! How was this to be accomplished? By his own zeal and the zeal of his Son, Jesus. Let us, too, be zealous in expressing our gratitude for God’s great gift.
