Day 22: Giving It Up for Love

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.  Philippians 2:5-7

It is difficult for us mortals to understand why Christ, omnipotent and eternal, became a newborn baby—small and vulnerable. We who spend our efforts struggling to be something cannot imagine One who willingly “made himself nothing.” Perhaps our finite, ambitious minds can never really grasp the concept of the incarnation. But we can accept it—on the basis of love. A love so deep and complete that it had no room for self.

Join us in prayer. Send us your request and our caring and trained volunteers will pray for you!
